Every ESSENCE person accesses a Supported Independent Living (SIL) accommodation, where participants can choose any room in our housing units. This reduced living environment is shared between two (2) to four (4) people, and we also provide shared communal areas. The accommodation is tailored to suit the needs of each person residing there – with one staff member on 24-hour duty and an extra support worker available for cooking or shopping if required.

Our respite accommodation is open 24-7, operated by qualified staff to assist you during your stay. You can stay as little for a few hours to several weeks, depending on how much time you choose to live with maximum comfort. This accommodation is designed to offer the ultimate convenient experience for our customers.

Connecting with other people is a key part of life. We help you stay connected with your community through well-being events, social activities, and community engagement projects. We believe community participation is essential to building your skills and confidence. We work closely with you and your support networks to identify community-based activities you are most interested in, goals you would like to achieve, and the best way to achieve them. These activities may be:

       * Within a group

       *One-to-one with Essence WA support workers.

ESSENCE WA has a quality, independent living program that provides living options for those who can live independently and benefit from living in a structured environment, such as assistance with meal preparation, budgeting, shopping, and recreational activities. Friends and relatives are also welcome to live with such participants.
